FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Why should I transfer video tapes to DVD or VCD?

There are many reasons for transferring video tapes to DVD or VCD:

  • Tapes won't last long, but VCD or DVD could last for a long time as long as you don't scratch it.
  • You can access certain sections of a video on a VCD or DVD much faster than video on a tape because you don’t need to wait for the tape to rewind.
  • DVD is much smaller in volume to store compared to a tape.
  • Once converted to DVD, you could make many copies of the video without losing any video quality.

2. How can I contact VIDEOGAP?

Contact information is located on our Contact Us page.

3. How can I order from VIDEOGAP?

Ordering information is located on our Home page.

4. Are there any hidden fees involved when ordering?

We only charge the processing costs. We offer free shipping and handling for UPS ground shipping. There are no surcharges. However, Indiana state law requires that we charge sales tax for Indiana residents.

5. When will my order be shipped out to me?

Unless otherwise noted on the product web page, all orders are shipped out within one week (business days) from the time we receive your order if paid properly. This time will be longer if paid by personal checks.

6. When will my credit card be charged?

All credit cards are charged right before your order ships so you don't have to worry about paying for items which are delayed or out of stock.

7. Can I return your product if I am not satisfied?

Customer satisfaction is our first priority, and we do everything we can to make our product high quality. Unlike VCRs, there are two major systems in DVD format, namely DVD+R (RW) and DVD-R (RW). Some DVD players can only play DVD+R and some can only play DVD-R. When you provide us with the brand name and model of your DVD player, we will try to match your machine. Even so, some old machines still cannot play some of the discs. We stand behind our products and we check all tapes and discs we produce for their playability in several machines before they are shipped to our customers. However, if you find any disc that is defective, you have 30 days from the time you receive an item to initiate a return. Please mail your original video tapes back to us and we will make another production for you. If you are still not satisfied with our products, we will issue a refund to you (minus actual shipping charge).
